Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 delivers a vast roster of comic book heroes and villains, but many long-time fans wonder how to play as the Merc with a Mouth. While Deadpool was a central figure in the original game, his role underwent major changes in the sequel. Understanding how the game handles this iconic character and his associated bonus missions helps set proper expectations for completing your roster.
Where Is Deadpool in Lego Marvel Superheroes 2
Unlike the first entry where Deadpool hosts the bonus levels, Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 replaces him with Gwenpool. Gwenpool takes over the responsibility of hosting side missions, collecting pink bricks, and managing secret content throughout Chronopolis. Consequently, Deadpool does not feature official bonus missions or a standard unlock path in the base game.
Creating a Custom Deadpool Character
Although Deadpool is not included in the standard character grid, players can easily build him using the in-game Character Customizer. By visiting the customizer suite located in Avengers Mansion, players can select red and black tactical outfits and dual swords to replicate his classic look. This option allows gamers to enjoy playing as the beloved character while exploring the sprawling open world.
How Gwenpool Missions Replace Deadpool Red Bricks
In the original title, players unlocked Deadpool by completing all bonus levels and purchasing red bricks. In Lego Marvel Superheroes 2, Gwenpool missions offer ten unique quest stages that reward players with pink bricks instead. Clearing these quests provides game-altering extras such as stud multipliers and character detectors.
Unlocking Secret Characters and Extras
Players aiming for complete game progress must focus on completing Gwenpool's quests and side activities. Each completed mission awards character tokens and grants access to unique heroes across various Marvel realities. Utilizing custom creations alongside Gwenpool content ensures you experience everything the game offers.
